The second edition of the joint event of the Society of Construction Law Türkiye and Society of Construction Law Romania, “From Investment to Dispute Resolution: Türkiye – Romania Conference”, was held on 15 April 2026 in Ankara with the support of the Turkish Contractors Association (Türk Müteahhitler Birliği).
The conference opened with remarks from key institutional representatives, including our founding partner Yasemin Çetinel in her capacity as President of SCL Türkiye, setting a collaborative and forward-looking tone for the day. Across the three panels, discussions moved fluidly between legal frameworks and on-the-ground experience —covering investment structures, public procurement practices, joint ventures and dispute resolution tools— while also addressing current pressures such as economic rebalancing and the use of emerging technologies.
The active participation of attendees throughout the sessions, particularly during the Q&A segments, contributed to a more open and experience-driven exchange, making the conference both technically insightful and practically relevant for professionals operating in international construction environments.
Our founding partner Andrew Aglionby, and our colleagues Santi Graffigna, Başak Kayrancıoğlu , Ebru Çetinel, and Aybüke Sezer also attended the conference on behalf of our firm.
