Senior Associate

Ayşe Selcen Özcan

Ayşe Selcen Özcan is a Senior Associate at the firm and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law and holds an LL.M. degree in European Law from Leiden University, as a Jean Monnet Scholar. She has obtained a second LL.M. degree in dispute resolution in International Law from Galatasaray University.

She is a licensed attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association.


Selcen’s practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and dispute board (DB) procedures with particular emphasis on international construction projects including contract management and pre-contract risk analysis.


She represents and advises contractors of various nationalities in cases and projects across Europe, Middle East and Turkic Countries. She has acted as party representative and tribunal secretary in matters conducted under the rules of institutions such as ICC, LCIA, PCA, VCCA, ISTAC and TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey).


Selcen is a contributor to International Construction Law, Second Edition, edited by Lukas Klee.


She is also co-author of the Turkish chapter in Compendium Project; co-authored with Aybüke Sezer and Muhammet Bembeyaz in Law Over Borders - Arbitration Comparative Law Guide 2025. She is a regular jurisdictional contributor, to Lexology Panoramic: Turkey – Investment Arbitration and GAR Know-How: Construction Arbitration – Turkey since 2022. She speaks Turkish and English.
